Imelda Adamson Agars for Chaffey

I’ve lived and worked right across regional South Australia - from the Eyre Peninsula and Mid North to the Flinders Ranges - but the Riverland is where everything I care about converges - I love our place in Kanni just out of Waikerie.
My career began in sheep and wool technology before shifting to remote community administration, working closely with aboriginal communities. Those experiences taught me the value of listening, showing up, and providing real support - not just words.
As a single parent with lived experience of disability, I understand the realities regional families face and the need for access to services, opportunities, and respect.
I’m standing for Chaffey to build strong, well-supported communities where everyone gets a fair go. I’ll bring honesty, resilience, and lived experience to fight for the Riverland’s water security, agriculture, jobs, health, and future.
I'm passionate about our plan for Royalties for Regions - creating a dedicated fund to return mining and resource royalties directly to regional communities for essential infrastructure - and our commitment to protecting South Australia's prime agricultural land and aquifers - via a strong statewide farmland preservation scheme, placing food and water security above competing uses like mining, housing, or energy developments.
